DevTech provided technical support to the Office of Women in Development to incorporate gender considerations in USAID's field and Bureau activities, guidance and policies, and training. The support included policy analysis, strategic planning, program performance measurement, Mission and Bureau program reviews, sectoral assessments, project design and implementation, data collection and analysis, development of indicators, and research guidance and design. DevTech staff included sectoral experts in the fields of economic growth, democracy, and environment, and regional specialists covering the areas of Central and Eastern Europe and the Newly Independent States, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia and Near East.
