DevTech supported the Office of Women in Development in integrating gender concerns throughout the Agency and by other U.S. and international organizations with an interest in developing countries. DevTech assisted the WID office with training program design and implementation; information dissemination; technical support to the Agency's central and regional Bureaus and overseas Missions; and response to data collection and analysis requests as needed for Agency WID strategy and policy papers and statistical data. DevTech staff members participated in the following activities: information / communications management; computerized data collection and analysis; analysis and evaluation methodologies that provide information for project, program, and policy decision-making; analysis of micro- and macro-socioeconomic data; and preparation of guidance for Mission strategic planning, policy dialogue, and program development.
