DevTech managed the Economic and Social Data Base (ESDB) for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The ESDB is a sophisticated information system that provides macro-level, international economic and social statistical data to USAID Central and Regional Bureaus, USAID Missions, and other U.S. Government Departments and Offices.
In addition to the ESDB, our staff provided full data and analytical services for the:
- Foreign Assistance Database; the data source for the U.S. Government's annual development report to the
Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development
(OECD) Development Assistance Committee (DAC) and the annual report to Congress "U.S. Overseas Loans and Grants" (the “Greenbook”).
- Tied Aid Reporting System; the data source for reports to OECD/DAC and U.S. Treasury on the tying status of USAID foreign assistance.
- Global Education Database (GED); a public website containing data on the education sector in developing countries and the Rapid Education Calculator, an education sector planning tool.
- Trade Capacity Building (TCB) Database; a public website with funding levels and activity description of U.S. trade capacity building activities worldwide, based on an annual survey of U.S. Government agencies implementing TCB activities. The data analysis and information provide source material for USAID and United States Trade Representative (USTR) work with the World Trade Organization, aid recipients, and other donors.
DevTech provided similar services under the Development Information Services contract, which was completed on 31 May 2006.
