Biodiversity Analyses for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova

As a part of the process to update the Biodiversity Assessment for Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Kiev was required to prepare the FAA 119 Biodiversity Analysis report in order to comply with Section 119 of the Foreign Assistance Act (FAA).

DevTech conducted a multi-country biodiversity analysis, and prepared a report for each country and a synthesis of issues facing the region through this Task Order under the Environmental Policy and Institutional Strengthening (EPIQ II) Indefinite Quantity Contract.

Based on field interviews and site visits, the reports provided a comprehensive view of each country from an environmental perspective, focusing on biodiversity and environmental issues. The findings and recommendations were presented in a manner to be consistent with USAID’s Strategic Objectives and to work within the existing framework of the Mission’s portfolio.
