Gender-related Publications

Under the Women in Development Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC), DevTech is a holder of the Short Term Technical Assistance & Training (STTA&T) Task Order (TO) to provide  on-demand, short-term technical assistance to USAID missions and other operating units.  DevTech offers innovative gender expertise and approaches for assessment, design, implementation and evaluation of programs and projects to ensure that gender is included as a key development variable in all activities.  As an integral part of the TO, DevTech publishes a report on each activity.

A complete list of DevTech’s gender assessments, gender evaluations, and sector-specific TA can be found below.  Reports on gender training activities are included on the Gender Training page of this website.

USAID Mission Gender Assessments

Gender assessments comprise a substantial portion of mission requests for STTA&T.  These Assessments are normally carried out by small teams of consultants over a two- to four-week period in-country.  DevTech attempts to integrate national experts into every team of consultants it fields, both to improve a team's on-the-ground knowledge and access, as well as to assist the Mission in developing local gender-related expertise. The reports below are written with USAID audiences in mind, and summarize the findings and recommendations on how to better integrate gender into Mission programs and priorities.
