Fiscal Policy Reform: Guatemalan Municipal Tax Code

DevTech provided technical assistance in the areas of fiscal and taxation reform and municipal finance to guide the overall process of development of the Guatemalan Municipal Tax Code (MTC).

DevTech's staff is aiding the Ministry of Finance, major municipal associations and others to develop a modern municipal tax code. This included analysis, comparison with similar requirements in other countries, and legal drafting.

The MTC would eventually be submitted to the legislature.
