USAID (2002-2007)

DevTech provides technical assistance to USAID operating units and others to ensure that gender is included as a key development variable in all activities, as well as in non-project assistance, and in all phases of planning, implementation, and assessing. Activities may also encompass technical support for strategy development.

DevTech assists in providing technical assistance and training at all levels, and in all sectors, to USAID operating units and other actors in such areas as policy analysis, strategic planning, program performance measurement, program and project review, sectoral assessments, activity design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, data collection and analysis tools, and research guidance and design as they related to gender in the Agency's strategic goal areas, environment, economic growth/agricultural development, democracy and governance; population, health and nutrition; human capacity development; and humanitarian assistance.

DevTech’s task orders awarded under this contract include:

  • Short Term Technical Assistance & Training Task Order (2002-2009) DevTech offers on-demand, short-term technical assistance to USAID operating units to provide guidance on addressing gender concerns in their activities. Under the Task Order, TA has been provided to USAID missions in over 30 countries, across a range of sectors.
  • Safe Schools Program (2003-2008) is a five-year USAID contract whose goal is to reduce school-related gender-based violence (SRGBV) to improve educational outcomes and reduce negative health outcomes.
